Getting Good Results With Thermal Binding

There are 6 easy steps to get the most out of your thermal binding machine. To bind a document with a thermal binding machine, simply use the following steps:

  1. Select the cover that will hold the number of pages you wish to bind. The covers come in different spine sizes. For example one cover might hold 2 to 10 pages, another cover 10 to 20 pages, etc. If you do not choose the right cover, the pages may not bind properly and may even fallout.
  2. Place the pages inside the binding cover and tap the spine on a table or flat surface to ensure all the pages are even. You can check that all the pages are inserted right by making sure the top and sides of the pages are even with the binding cover.
  3. Check that the power to the binding machine is turned on at the power point and at the machine.
  4. Place the document in the binding machine and press the start button. If you are using the Intelligent Binder, the binding machine will start automatically.
  5. After about 1 minute a buzzer will sound indicating that the binding is complete. Take the document out of the binding machine and do not open it until it has cooled down. If you are using the Intelligent Binder, the binder will turn off automatically, meaning you don’t have to be waiting beside the machine.
  6. After cooling for a few minutes the document is ready to use.
